About Me
I completed medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued Psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Sheppard Pratt Hospital, where I also served as Executive Chief Resident. I specialize in treating patients with psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. I have extra training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) which is a noninvasive, non-medication treatment for depression and OCD. I was previously a faculty member at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and I continue to teach residents and medical students, which I greatly enjoy. My approach to healthcare emphasizes the vital connection between mental and physical well-being. As a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, I address lifestyle factors like nutrition, exercise, stress, social connections, sleep, and substance use in treating chronic medical conditions. Additionally, I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through PostPartum Support International and Massachusetts General Hospital. Learn more about my qualifications here.
When I am not at the office, I enjoy yoga, kayaking, biking, baking, gardening, crocheting, singing and playing the flute.
Be Mindful. Be Healthful. Be Medicine.
